Meet Our Team.
Our team at Steps In Time is made up of passionate educators, choreographers, and mentors who care deeply about every dancer who walks through our doors.
Led by Miss Ayeisha, our Studio Owner and Artistic Director, and joined by instructors Miss Mary, Miss Angela, Miss Ryanne, Miss Abby and Miss Nicolle our staff brings both professional experience and a heartfelt connection to the studio.
Each member of our team is a proud Steps In Time alum — meaning they once stood in the same place our dancers are today. Having grown up here, they understand the journey, the challenges, and the joy of dance, and they love this studio like a second home.
Their shared history creates a welcoming, supportive environment where dancers are inspired, encouraged, and truly known.
Ayeisha Evans
Studio Owner & Artistic Director
Ayeisha Evans brings over a decade of dance and fitness expertise to her classes, combining classical training with contemporary techniques to create dynamic, engaging workouts that inspire and transform.
A proud Lehigh Valley native and Allentown Central Catholic High School alumna, Ayeisha deepened her passion for movement at Temple University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 2015. Her professional journey includes eleven years of specialized experience teaching group fitness and dance classes, where she developed a reputation for precise instruction and personalized attention to form.
Currently, Ayeisha shares her love of dance as the Studio Owner and Artistic Director of Steps in Time and serves as co-director of the ACCHS Dance Team, mentoring the next generation of dancers at her alma mater. Her teaching style draws from her extensive dance background, creating fluid, challenging sequences that build strength, flexibility, and confidence.
As a mother of three, Ayeisha understands firsthand the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle and creating achievable goals. Her classes welcome participants of all skill levels, fostering a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
Mary Powell
Instructor & Choreographer
Mary is excited to be entering her fifth season teaching at Steps in Time! She began her dance training in the Lehigh Valley and is trained in modern, tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop. She earned her B.A. in Dance Performance and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees from Muhlenberg College. In 2023, she studied at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy, where she trained extensively in modern, ballet, and dance composition. While at Muhlenberg, Mary led two dance-related clubs, including serving as co-president and choreographer of the hip hop dance team for three years.
Mary danced at Steps in Time throughout her pre-professional career and was a member of the Inner Rhythms Competition Team, which she now proudly teaches. She has been teaching dance for over five years at Steps in Time and has also shared her passion for dance through teaching at the Muhlenberg Community Dance Center. Additionally, Mary has choreographed for the Parkland High School Dance Team over multiple seasons. She strives to teach her students proper alignment while fostering a positive, energetic environment that encourages both growth and a love of dance.
When she is not at the studio, Mary is a third grade teacher in the Allentown School District.
Ryanne D'Agostini
Instructor & Choreographer
Ryanne D’Agostini is thrilled to return to the Steps In Time family as a dance instructor. Dance has been a lifelong passion for her, beginning as a student at Steps In Time where she trained extensively and was a member of the Inner Rhythms Competition Team.
After high school, she attended Kutztown University, where she was a member of the KU Dance Team. During her junior and senior years, she proudly served as the team's choreographer, developing leadership skills and a passion for mentoring fellow dancers.
Following college, she remained active in the dance community as the Parkland Dance Team coach for nine years, helping young dancers grow both technically and personally. In addition to coaching, she has choreographed routines for numerous dance teams and competitive dance studio teams throughout the area, sharing her creativity and passion with dancers of all ages and skill levels.
Alongside her dance career, she has been a dedicated third-grade teacher at Kratzer Elementary School in the Parkland School District for the past eight years.
Outside of teaching and dance, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and their son, Theo. Their family is excited to welcome a second baby boy in November. In her free time, she loves exercising, spending time outdoors, keeping up with the latest reality TV shows, and relaxing at the beach.
She is excited to bring a positive, encouraging atmosphere to her classes and looks forward to helping dancers build confidence, develop their skills, and deepen their love of dance. She cannot wait to be part of each dancer’s journey and is grateful for the opportunity to return to the studio that helped shape her own love for dance.
Abby Garza
Instructor & Choreographer
Abby Garza is a dance and theater professional with a lifelong passion for the performing arts. She trained at Miss Jeanne’s School of Dance Arts in Bethlehem, PA where she studied tap, jazz, musical theater, and ballet. She continued her love of the performing arts at Allentown Central Catholic where she was a 4 year member of the dance team and a 4 time Freddy nominee in musical theater. Following graduation, she returned to choreograph for the dance team and assisted with choreography for the school's musical productions.
Abby earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from DeSales University and a Master's degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University. Her love for the arts lead her to work as the Dance Event Manager for Dance The World, for whom she organizes and creates exceptional dance experiences for performers and educators, coordinating events at renowned destinations including Disney World, New York City, Nashville, and Paris.
In addition to her work behind the scenes, Abby has maintained an active presence in theater. She was featured on the cast album of the original musical The Muses by Liam P. Mulligan and has performed in numerous theatrical productions. Three of her favorite stage credits include Madge in Picnic, Phebe in As You Like It, and Featured Dancer in Pippin among many other fabulous performing experiences.
Drawing from her experiences as a performer, choreographer, and arts administrator, Abby is dedicated to fostering meaningful artistic opportunities and inspiring the next generation of performers.
Nicolle Lentz
Instructor & Choreographer
Miss Nicolle is beyond excited to be returning to Steps In Time—the very place where her love for dance first began. Starting off as a student to becoming a member of the Inner Rhythms Dance Company, she spent her childhood growing not only as a dancer, but as a person. This studio became her second home—a place where she learned to dream big, express herself freely, and find joy through movement. Returning as a teacher is a beautiful full-circle moment that she holds close to her heart.
After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Jacksonville University, Miss Nicolle continued to grow as both a professional dancer and model. She has trained and performed with renowned programs including Jennifer Muller/The Works, StaibDance in Italy, and the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive. Alongside her dance career, she has built a successful modeling career, appearing in national commercials, print campaigns, and television productions. These experiences have allowed her to explore storytelling through both movement and camera, deepening her creativity, confidence, and stage presence.
To Miss Nicolle, dance is so much more than learning steps—it’s about discovering confidence, embracing creativity, building lifelong friendships, and finding the courage to shine as your authentic self. Her classroom is filled with encouragement, imagination, laughter, and lots of love. She hopes every dancer leaves class feeling seen, celebrated, and excited to keep grooving!
Our Studio
Steps In Time originally opened its doors on Tilghman Street in Allentown back in 1989. Since then, the studio has grown and relocated to its current home on Sumner Avenue.
The studio is owned and operated by Kathleen Treat; she has three part-time instructors.
The facility has a waiting area, dressing room and two main dance studios. Each studio has had a renovation as early as 2017, featuring brand new dance flooring.
